Stagecoach Carmarthen

Stagecoach Carmarthen believes in promoting confidence in a fun, friendly and supportive environment. Taking classes in singing, dance and drama has been proven to build a child's self-esteem. We are proud to offer a full and rounded education, teaching life skills to build confidence and stretch imaginations through singing, acting and dance classes; allowing each child to develop at their own pace with the support of the group. Students across Carmarthenshire attend our classes weekly and we are delighted to offer our students a high standard of teaching as well as excellent opportunities. Each year all our students have the opportunity to be part of a full musical production at the local theatre. We've had the privilege of watching hundreds of children grow in confidence and ability. As part of the UK's largest network of performing arts schools, Stagecoach Carmarthen is more than just a theatre school, we are a nurturing, safe place for children to grow and build on all aspects of life skills.

Meet The Team

Principal - Laura Morris - BA Hons Education - PGCE Primary Education

Laura's enthusiasm for the performing arts was nourished by her early years in Swansea.

Born and raised in Swansea, Laura's interest and passion for the performing arts began at a very young age and was inspired by the dance, acrobatics, drama and singing classes throughout her childhood.

Laura started dancing at the age of three, training in tap, modern, jazz and ballet, and went on to achieve top marks in exams and gained her experience performing locally in a wide variety of shows, festivals and pantomimes. This is when her passion for performing really began.

After completing her A levels, Laura went on to study at the University of Wales Cardiff, graduating with a BA (Hons) degree in Education. The following year, Laura went on to study at the University of Wales Swansea, graduating with a PGCE in Primary Education.

For the past four years, Laura has been working as an assistant at Stagecoach Cowbridge where she has been working alongside the teachers and Principal.

With a passion for the performing arts, Laura aspires to encourage her students at Stagecoach Carmarthen and Haverfordwest with the same motivation and passion for dance, drama and singing as she experienced in her childhood.

Laura believes passionately in the benefits of the performing arts for all and can't wait to inspire and enrich young people through the performing arts, and introduce them to new opportunities in a safe and secure environment.
