Stagecoach Bristol Keynsham

The personal development gained by studying the Performing Arts is invaluable.  Confidence, memory, concentration, physical fitness, presentation skills, critical thinking, social skills; these are just some of the areas that will be enhanced by your child taking part in our classes.

We offer a wide variety of performance opportunities such as on stage musicals, devised pieces, PAA Musical Theatre and LAMDA exams and much more. We also offer summer schools where students can get stuck into the creative process of producing a big show in one week.

Our classes run for  90 minutes or 3 hours (depending on age) at Wellsway School, Keynsham during school term time.  We have developed a unique Educational Framework for each stage of learning. To have a look at the structure we work from  click here:

An Inspector Calls Tour

In October 2024 three of our students were chosen to perform in the National Theatre tour of the J.B Priestley play, An Inspector Calls at the Bristol Hippodrome. Directed by Stephen Daldry (Billy Elliott, The Hours, The Reader), our students gained invaluable experience in one the UK's largest theatres with a professional cast and crew. So proud!

Our Performance Troupe

At Stagecoach Keynsham we have a Performance Troupe that meet at lunchtimes and work on Musical Theatre pieces to perform at extra shows and festivals. The troupe is comprised of Stage 2s and 3 students from both morning and afternoon schools, who want to focus on a high level of performance.

Testimonials

"The skills and confidence she has learnt and gained at Stagecoach has given her a fantastic approach to all areas in her life. Florence has gone from struggling socially with other children and lacking self confidence to easily making friends. I couldn’t recommend Stagecoach Keynsham highly enough, was certainly the best decision we made!"

Inspiring Performance

At Stagecoach Keynsham our aim is to create a space where all children feel involved and encouraged to be creative and confident. We work on a wide repertoire of material with our industry pro teachers to create inspiring briefs and performances, which delight and entertain. These life skills help our children and young people as they grow.

Stagecoach Live

Our Performance Troupe performed a piece about loss in war and conflict at the Stagecoach Charity Gala. Along with nine other schools our students performed a moving piece in original uniforms as soldiers, mothers and evacuees. We were picked out of hundreds to perform for a host of VIPS at the international flagship event in the West End.

Summer School

Every August we run a summer school at Wellsway School. This week long workshop is open to everyone, both brand new students and our regular crew. It's a great way to try Stagecoach in your summer holidays before the autumn term. This year we performed Shrek and had a brilliant time. Join us next year for a week to remember!

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Stagecoach Early Stages
Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Stagecoach Main Stages
Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Further Stages (for ages 15+ yrs)

Stagecoach Further Stages
Our advanced musical theatre sessions give talented students the chance to extend their performance skills.  Through in-depth training and master classes, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting.  We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Fees in accordance with Main Stages.
