Welcome to Stagecoach Bury St Edmunds & Stowmarket where we provide quality part-time training in performing arts for children aged 4-18yrs.  Our aim is to nurture and develop young peoples potential through singing, acting and dance classes in Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket, stretching young imaginations and helping develop confidence, physical awareness, communication and articulation - as well as being educational and fun.

Open Fridays after school and Saturday's with workshops during the school holidays, with fully qualified teachers who all hold an enhanced DBS, come join the fun.

LAMDA & Dance Troupe

LAMDA - Students have the opportunity to take LAMDA exams in Musical Theatre, Drama, Verse & Prose. Did you know that LAMDA examinations can help towards UCAS points for further education including University. DANCE TROUPE - Students have the opportunity to take graded Dance Exams in Modern and Jazz Dance.

OUR CLASSES

Our classes in Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket on Thursday, Friday and Saturday's are aimed at students 2 -4 yrs (Mini Stages) 4-6yrs (Early Stages) students 6-18yrs (Main School). Please complete an enquiry via the contact us.

We are an OFSTED-registered school, with fully trained Teachers, enhanced DBS and Chaperone Licence.

EARLY STAGES

MINI STAGES

Mini Stages 2-4yrs. Our themed classes last 45 minutes each week and are the perfect way for you and your child to explore a world of imagination through songs, stories and much, much more.

Film Production Term

The Autumn Term we will be working Film Production. Writing scripts, directing, filming, editing and everything in between. Individual songs, dances and the history of Christmas from around the world. This is set to be an festive extravaganza for all.

MAIN SCHOOL

Our Main Stages students are aged 6 to 18 year-olds (split by age into smaller groups) and class activities vary week by week, meaning no Stagecoach session is the same! Students are encouraged to build and grow their skills as individuals and also work as a team with the rest of their class to create performances.

Stagecoach Mini Stages (for 2 -4 year olds) 45 Minute Classes are a fun and exciting way for you and your child to actively experience the performing arts in a comfortable, relaxed and safe environment.

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Stagecoach Early Stages
Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Stagecoach Main Stages
Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

Meet The Team

Principal - Caroline Ranson - ALCM

Caroline trained with the London College of Music. Since then she has worked for many contracts in the UK and taught children of all ages privately as a tutor for LCM. Caroline teaches music in many schools in East Anglia. As well as performing, Caroline directs, choreographs and MD's for many Theatre groups in the area. Caroline can be found treading the boards around Suffolk.
