Stagecoach Edinburgh

A warm welcome from Stagecoach Theatre Arts School Edinburgh! We offer quality part-time training in the performing arts for children aged 4-18yrs, covering Dance, Drama and Singing.  Our aspiration is that Stagecoach Edinburgh is a buzzing, inspirational environment in which the students feel encouraged to reach their full potential whether they are coming to develop confidence, make friends or with a professional performing arts career in their sights.  Alongside our weekly classes and holiday workshops, our students take part in full scale shows and have the opportunity to go on theatre trips, take part in workshops with West End cast members, perform at Disneyland, Paris, gain qualifications through 1:1 coaching for LAMDA exams, as well as having a variety of professional casting opportunities for film and stage.

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Stagecoach Early Stages
Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Stagecoach Main Stages
Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Further Stages (for ages 15+ yrs)

Stagecoach Further Stages
Our advanced musical theatre sessions give talented students the chance to extend their performance skills.  Through in-depth training and master classes, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting.  We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Fees in accordance with Main Stages.

Meet The Team

Principal - Tina Strong

After completing her MA in Applied Theatre in 2008, Tina became a Stagecoach Franchisee in London. She is very excited to be taking on the role of Principal and Franchisee in her home town of Edinburgh and looks forward to the challenge of continuing the success of Stagecoach Edinburgh and making it a strong, creative and nurturing environment for children and young people.

Having worked as a Stagecoach teacher for 6 years, had a wealth of experience in children's theatre and been a lecturer in portable theatre for Children at Royal Holloway University of London, Tina is looking to challenge the children's expectations of what theatre is and can be - and will be encouraging the children to be creative risk-takers.
