Stagecoach Nottingham

A very big welcome to Stagecoach Nottingham!  We have been providing quality part-time training in performing arts since 1993. Anyone that comes to visit us here agrees that there is a wonderful atmosphere and the school is buzzing with energy and excitement.

Stagecoach Nottingham provides children with the opportunity to participate in all three performing arts disciplines - drama classes, dance classes and singing classes - helping to develop confidence, physical awareness, communication and articulation - as well as being educational and lots of fun. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive school that nurtures young potential by working to different needs and abilities of students, and providing the most inspirational environment whether that be in class, in specialised workshops or in a theatre for performance.

Two Week Trial
We understand the importance of giving every child a chance to come and try Stagecoach, which is why we offer a two week trial. The trial gives your child the opportunity to come and settle in and try our classes in singing, dancing and acting. Payment of the deposit entitles all new students to take part in a two week trial and to see if Stagecoach is right for them before committing to a term. Prospective students and their parents are very welcome to come and visit us in any of our three schools.

Meet The Team

Principal - Cara Gunter

Cara has worked at Stagecoach Nottingham for the last 18 years in many roles with her longest stint as the dance teacher for 15 years, before stepping into the role of principal in 2023.

Cara began dancing herself at a very young age taking part in ballet, tap, modern jazz, street dance, lyrical, and musical theatre lessons throughout all of her childhood and particularly enjoyed playing leading roles in musicals.

She studied Sport coaching at college before moving on to study musical theatre at a full time professional performing arts college; despite her love of performing her heart has always been in teaching and she went on to gain 10 dance teaching qualifications. Alongside teaching, Cara has  taken part in many amateur dramatic companies, worked for professional dance companies in shows and events, and completed many training courses including Physical Literacy, Nutrition, Zumba, Exercise to Music, and Clubbercise. She has a background of working with families and children in helping them live a healthier lifestyle and hopes this variety of experience will add value to her role as Stagecoach Principal.

18 years of teaching dance in the community, in primary and secondary schools, as well as running her own dance school has given Cara lots of experience in working with a wide variety of children, including those with additional needs. She is very passionate about seeing children reach their full potential, grow in confidence and most importantly experiencing true happiness.
