Meet The Team

Principal - Miriam Leary-White

Miriam's has been principal of Stagecoach Bishop’s Stortford and Harlow for over 10 years but her Stagecoach journey and training began aged 10 when she joined Stagecoach Harpenden where she stayed for 6 years. Having loved her time there she asked to join the teaching staff as a classroom assistant and was soon fully immersed in the Early Stages classes for both Harpenden and Dunstable. Aged 18 she was a substitute teacher for Dance, Drama, Singing and the Early Stages for Stagecoach St Albans, Harpenden and Dunstable. Aged 20 Miriam took her teaching to India and taught Salsa in Dali and Mumbai. On her return she went to GSA to study Musical Theatre, she graduated with a 2:1 BA (Hon) and the Saskia Carter Award. While studying she continued to teach with her own Early Stages class at Stagecoach Chertsey along with Audition Technique Master Classes with various schools. Once graduated, Miriam worked with a number of Casting Directors and Actors' Agents. When the opportunity arose to become a Principal she jumped at it. Miriam works tirelessly to help her students grow in confidence and bravery and feels that the performing arts is the perfect tool to do this. She hopes that all students that come through her school get a strong feeling of love and support from their Stagecoach Family.
