Stagecoach Stourbridge

Hello and welcome to Stagecoach Stourbridge! Where we provide high quality training in the performing arts for children aged between 4-18 years. Our aim is to nurture and develop creativity and help students reach their potential in our dance, drama and singing classes. Whilst stretching the imagination, building confidence and developing creative courage for life.

Alongside our weekly classes and holiday workshops, our students have the opportunity to perform at West end, regional and international events at incredible venues such as Disneyland Paris, go on trips to the theatre, take part in specialist workshops and gain qualifications in all disciplines.

Here at Stourbridge, we recognise every child as a unique individual and appreciate their individual skills and support their continued growth. We prepare our students not only for the performance on stage, but for the performance of life.

We can’t wait to welcome you to our school!

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Stagecoach Early Stages
Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Stagecoach Main Stages
Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Further Stages (for ages 15+ yrs)

Stagecoach Further Stages
Our advanced musical theatre sessions give talented students the chance to extend their performance skills.  Through in-depth training and master classes, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting.  We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Fees in accordance with Main Stages.

Meet The Team

Principal - Hayley Thompson

Hayley studied at Buckinghamshire New University gaining a BA Hons in Professional Dance Development before completing her PGCE in Post-Compulsory Education and Associate Teacher for the IDTA. It was at this point that Hayley began working for Stagecoach and very quickly began dreaming of the day that she could own her own school. In 2022 the opportunity arose for her to take on her dream role of principal at Stagecoach Stourbridge.

Hayley has worked as a dance and drama teacher for the last 8 years both as part of the Stagecoach network, principal of her own dance school and as a freelance practitioner in the West Midlands. She has taken choreography and musical theatre pieces to some incredible events and venues such as Disneyland Paris, West End stages, Birmingham Hippodrome, MTI junior theatre festival and various regional platforms.

As a Principal she prides herself on being able to see that spark of potential in every student. Every child that walks through the doors becomes part of the Stagecoach family. She believes it's an absolute privilege to be a part of so many passionate young people's lives inspiring and shaping them through the arts.
