We’re getting in the Christmas spirit early this year with Matt Lucas and his book The Boy Who Slept Through Christmas! To get you feeling just as festive as the book’s hero Leo, we’re giving you the chance to win a bundle of goodies including books, toys and a hot chocolate maker! Plus, the winner and four runners-up will also win a signed copy of The Boy Who Slept Through Christmas! 🤩

All you need to do to enter is ask your child to come up with their very own Christmas song and send us the lyrics to their new Christmas hit! Songs must be original and submitted by email to [email protected]. Be quick, you’ve only got until 23:59 on Wednesday 11th December 2024 to enter!

How to Enter:

  • Ask your child to write the lyrics to their very own Christmas song, the song can be about anything to do with Christmas and the festive season as long as it’s on the theme of Christmas.
  • We want to give your child the option to be as creative as they like with their song lyrics but as a general guide – a lot of songs follow an 8-line verse and 8-line chorus structure (we’d suggest sending in a song with at least one verse and one chorus). You can think of the song like a poem and whilst it can rhyme, it doesn’t have to – we're looking for the most fun, creative and festive lyrics!
  • Submit your child’s song lyrics by sending them to [email protected] either in the email itself or as an attachment. Please include your name, your child’s name and their age in the email and use the subject line: Christmas Song. Please make sure a parent or guardian has submitted this on behalf of the child.
  • That’s it! We can’t wait to read these songs and actor, presenter, comedian and author of The Boy Who Slept Through Christmas, Matt Lucas, will be picking the winner!

Good luck!

Plus, don’t forget to get yourself a copy of The Boy Who Slept Through Christmas, now available in paperback and featuring 20 original songs to listen to. Album now available on Spotify and Apple Music.

About The Boy Who Slept Through Christmas:

Leo LOVES Christmas.

… And this Christmas needs to be absolutely perfect, because it’s the first one without Mum.

Only it all keeps going wrong…

The fairylights are in a tangle!
The Christmas cards aren’t finished!
The tree isn’t decorated!
The Christmas cakes have all been destroyed!

Soon Leo decides he’s had enough – he makes a heartfelt wish that it would all GO AWAY.

Then Leo wakes up on what SHOULD be Christmas Day – and it’s gone!! All of Christmas! But Leo isn’t going to let it escape that easily . . .
