Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Stagecoach Early Stages
Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Stagecoach Main Stages
Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Further Stages (for ages 15+ yrs)

Stagecoach Further Stages
Our advanced musical theatre sessions give talented students the chance to extend their performance skills.  Through in-depth training and master classes, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting.  We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Fees in accordance with Main Stages.

Meet The Team

Principal - Claire Louise Rosser BA Hons Drama & Theatre, MA Musical Theatre

Claire has led Stagecoach Wokingham for 13 years, growing and developing the school during this time. With over 20 years of teaching experience, she brought her expertise to Berkshire to offer the best part-time performing arts training in the region.

Claire’s academic journey began at Royal Holloway, University of London, where she earned a degree in Theatre Studies. She then pursued further training at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, followed by the Moscow Art Theatre, studying Musical Theatre and Acting, and graduating with an MA. With more than 15 years of experience with the Stagecoach network, Claire has witnessed countless children grow into talented performers, adults, and even become part of our teaching team. Her dedication has helped many secure roles in prestigious West End productions and TV shows. She also recognises the therapeutic power of theatre and has collaborated with several theatre companies to bring performance arts to many communities.

Claire has coached students to secure roles in major productions such as Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Sound of Music (West End and national tour), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Shrek, Les Miserables, Oliver, Enron, regional productions, and even full-time drama training at universities. However, her greatest joy comes from providing young people with a safe space where they can truly be themselves every week.

She was previously part of the faculty at the Performance Preparation Academy in Guildford, where she taught in the Acting and Musical Theatre degree programs. She has also completed her pre-clinical training as a Psychotherapist for children, young people, and families with the Tavistock & Portman NHS Trust in London. Claire oversees all teaching, creative direction, and ensures that safeguarding standards are upheld.

"My primary passion is to deliver flexible teaching that meets each student's individual needs. This makes our schools inclusive, embracing both similarities and differences. Whether you're looking for advanced technique training or a supportive environment where your child can find belonging, safety, and community, our classes have something to offer."
