Stagecoach Wolverhampton

Welcome to Stagecoach Wolverhampton where we provide quality part-time training in the performing arts for children aged 2-18.

Stagecoach Wolverhampton nurtures a wide range of talent with some of our students going on to further their training at RADA, LAMDA, Performers College, LIPA, Laine Theatre Arts, ALRA and Birmingham School of Acting. Students go on to perform professionally and also train to become teachers, some coming back and sharing their experiences at Stagecoach.

Regular performance opportunities are provided through our dance troupe and we also offer annual LAMDA examinations. Past productions have included West End, Grand Theatre and Birmingham Symphony Hall.

We endeavour to provide a safe and inclusive teaching environment welcoming all students through our doors and supporting their creative development throughout their time with us both off and on the stage. Our highly trained staffs are in full support of every individual child recognising and appreciating their individual skills and supporting continued growth.

Mini Stages (for ages 2-4 yrs)

Mini Stages
Stagecoach Mini Stages (for 2 -4 year olds) 45 Minute Classes are a fun and exciting way for you and your child to actively experience the performing arts in a comfortable, relaxed and safe environment.

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Stagecoach Early Stages
Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Stagecoach Main Stages
Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Further Stages (for ages 15+ yrs)

Stagecoach Further Stages
Our advanced musical theatre sessions give talented students the chance to extend their performance skills.  Through in-depth training and master classes, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting.  We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Fees in accordance with Main Stages.

Meet The Team

Principal - Hannah James

Hannah studied at John Moores University, Liverpool, gaining a degree in dance, before embarking on a career back in the West Midlands. Every weekend Hannah travelled back to maintain her links at Stagecoach Wolverhampton being the dance teacher there for twelve years. 2017 saw her dreams come true when she had the opportunity to take on her dream role of Stagecoach principal.

For the past ten years Hannah has been working freelance in local schools both primary and secondary, alongside being head of performing arts A-levels at Stourbridge College for six years. Hannah is a qualified teacher holding QTLS status, and a masters module in arts and health; and has a real wealth of experience in education and community running her own dance company - Reflections.
The past few years has seen a shift from teacher to trainer where she has written online resources for schools and completed training for teachers in supporting their teaching within the PE curriculum.

She is always striving to develop her own knowledge and share that with her teachers and students. Every term Hannah puts on local dance platforms for high quality companies to share their work, and strives to get as many young people involved in the arts as possible. Stagecoach Wolverhampton is a thriving School and she feels privileged and fortunate to be on his exciting journey with such a talented team of teachers, parents and young people.
